Years 19-23
All hail noble ladies and gentlemen!
My name is Pergalb and I serve for Albrich's von Schmiedefeld Household
as a clerk. Since the realm develops very fast, Lord Wolfen, one of the
founding fathers of this realm, deemed it best to write a chronicle about
our history. Thanks to the pleading of my master this honorable task has
been assigned to me. So let me start:
The beginnings of Tamar are obscure in the history, but a few years ago
several ladies and lords settled down in Tamar, for whatever reason, to
take a chance on a fresh start and to create their own empire. They came
from unknown and still unexplored corners of the world to rule over their
own folk. The first few years were hard, there were unknown power so far
which made it harder to built up villages and towns. But now the situation
has improved, the inhabitants of the villages cultivate grain and proliferate
splendid. Unfortunately we received a harsh setback several years ago, more
precisely in the year 19. The Plague, the Black Death, carried off almost the
half of the whole population of Tamar. No village had been reprieved and a lot
of wailing lifted out into the country. Even today, in the year 23, many lords
have to struggle with the consequences airising out of this life-threatening
plague. But we look confidently into the future, since the Tales of Tamar
just started out!
